Day 64 - sober chicken

Busy sober day which started with catching chickens in speckles of snow and putting them back in their pen. Who knows how they escape. Its like they plot it all when I'm asleep. Sunday is a particularly good day to escape, they know I'll normally be home and have plenty of time to chase round the garden after them. Its like a game we play every weekend. Mostly I caught chickens with a hangover, well not for the past 64 days. Saw this photograph and thought in my head I look like this (not!).

Ah sober chicken catching glamour. Bonnie photo though. On a more serious note, its much easier to catch chickens without a hangover. Another big bonus of being a sober girl. Sober cuddling of chickens.

Result. Unexpected but a result. Nice to take all four of them one by one up the garden back to their run. Calmly.

Sober chicken cuddling, who knew. Its the small things eh? Hoping for a good sober week, whilst I'm confident, best not count my chickens eh?

  2. Sober chicken catching! That's one I haven't heard before! My father-in-law has a couple of chickens. Maybe I should let them out and chase around after them for a while!

    1. Oh dear well maybe don't let them out in his prize petunias. Mine are quite tame now, they are ex-battery farm they are quite use to being picked up and put back into their part of the garden. Not, of course that they behave. :)
